Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Our research and M&E activities include the application of formative and/ or summative analysis of design, implementation, results, impacts and sustainability of a project or policy by using different data collection methods and applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods. This rigorous research process guarantees that evidence-based conclusions and recommendations are drawn to inform progressive policy reforms and formulation. IAPRI has designed and conducted nation-wide representative surveys and project surveys. These include three rounds of the Rural Agricultural Livelihoods Survey; baseline and midline surveys of the Scaling Up Nutrition Learning and Evaluation programme; baseline, midline, and end-line surveys for the GIZ Fish for Food project; Four rounds of surveys evaluating the Alternatives to Charcoal project; as well as various Follow-up surveys to the GIZ FANSER project, among others.
