Benny Kabwela is an Applied Economist with deep expertise in the agricultural-development nexus, policy analysis, and evidence-based program design across Sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently serving as a Research Associate with the Indaba Agricultural Policy Research Institute(IAPRI). Mr. Kabwela’s career spans over a decade of impactful work with regional and international organizations. His work has involved leading policy engagements, managed multi-country research initiatives, and designed and executing Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and geospatial economic analyses. Mr. Kabwela holds an MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics (Quantitative Policy Analysis) from Makerere University and the University of Pretoria, and a BSc in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Zambia.
