Dr. Brian Mulenga is the Indaba Agricultural Policy Research Institute (IAPRI). Dr. Mulenga holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University, USA, and has over 12 years of experience in agri-food systems policy research, capacity building, outreach, and organizational management. His management approach is rooted in fostering innovation, building capacity within teams, and maintaining the Institute’s commitment to addressing critical challenges in agri-food systems through evidence-based solutions. His leadership combines technical expertise with strategic oversight to advance the Institute’s mission and ensure operational excellence. Dr. Mulenga’s work spans the southern and eastern African regions, with a focus on agricultural markets and trade, climate change and natural resource management, and agricultural diversification and productivity.
