
Fwasa Singogo
Research Associate
Fwasa Singogo is an economist and holds an MSC. And B. Hon in Economics from the university of Namibia. He is currently a Research Associate at INDABA Agricultural Policy Research Institute (IAPRI), where he is a part of the food security and nutrition thematic area and supports the Climate Change and Natural Resource Management, as well as the Business Development Unit (BDU). Fwasa also has several years of research experience in development economics and economic theory.

He carries a wealth of experience designing and implementing surveys, and is well versed in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Fwasa has good understanding of the food security and nutrition situation in Zambia. He is part of the Nutrition Monitoring, Evaluation and Research TWG lead by the National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC), where he offers technical support that includes policy advocacy, the reviewing of reports and policy briefs, and report writing. He is also part of the Scaling Up Nutrition Learning and Evaluation (SUN LE) consortium in Zambia where he is a survey manager. As part of the SUN LE, he conducted six bi-monthly surveys monitoring the effect of COVID-19 on food security; he also conducted a survey on the management of Aflatoxins in Maize and Groundnuts among Rural Households in Zambia; and the Scaling up nutrition first 1000 most critical days program (MCDP II) midline survey that assessed the improvements in child and maternal nutritional status as well as the progress made in addressing major determinants of maternal and child nutrition.
Fwasa also contributes to the Business Development Unit at IAPRI. His activities conducted under this role include supporting bid processes, project coordination including supporting study design, enumerator recruitment, training and supervision, questionnaire development/adaptation and testing, quantitative data quality control and verification, coordination of focus group discussion (FGDs), qualitative data analysis and report writing, and field report writing.
