
Chance Kabaghe
Executive Director (ED)
Mr Kabaghe has BSc and MSc degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zambia and London University (WYE College) respectively with more than 30 years’ experience in Agricultural policy and agribusiness analysis. His experience spans from lecturing at the University of Zambia through to spearheading Zambia’s Seed Company marketing achievements. He later became the first Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Food Reserve Agency (FRA) and his tenure ran from 1995 and 2001.

He has also served as a Member of Parliament (MP) and as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives in charge of Agriculture Marketing and Planning between 2001 and 2006. As a business entrepreneur, Mr. Kabaghe chairs the Boards of some key agri-businesses in Zambia such as Seed Co (Z) Ltd, Capital Fisheries Ltd, and Zambia Agricultural Commodity Exchange (ZAMACE) and also sits on the COMESA Business Council where he previously served as Chairperson. Mr. Kabaghe has in the past been involved in the development of a number of agricultural policies in Zambia such as the Agricultural Marketing Bill, Food Reserve Act, Agricultural Credit Act, and the Cotton Act etc.
