IAPRI holds and facilitates Technical Writing Workshops

 

Technical writing is necessary to effectively translate and communicate specialized information such as research findings to stakeholders. IAPRI periodically holds and facilitates capacity building technical writing workshops both internally and externally. In the past two months, the following technical writing workshops were held:

• Modeling Agriculture Technology Adoption Technical Writing Workshop The workshop was held for internal Researchers on 27th April 2017 and was facilitated by Dr. Nicky Mason from Michigan State University.

• Strengthening evidence and analysis for policy and private sector investments technical write up workshop IAPRI in conjunction with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) held a write up workshop from 8-9th May, 2017 at Kadoma Ranch Hotel, Zimbabwe.

The workshop focused on gleaning key issues from the diagnostic policy studies under the Livelihood Food Security Programme LFSP- Agriculture Productivity and Nutrition (APN) Programme.

Given IAPRI’s relevant research experience and demonstrated strength in outreach activities, the Institute was identified as a strategic regional partner to assist in strengthening evidence and analysis to influence policy and private sector investment in the agriculture economy of Zimbabwe.

The main facilitator was Dr. Antony Chapoto who is also IAPRI's Research Director.
