IAPRI makes yet another mentorship stride

In addition to executing its mandate of agricultural policy research and outreach, IAPRI implements a six-month internship program. The aim of the program is to contribute to a pool of professionals who are able to think analytically, analyse data and contribute to policy and agriculture sector development.

On 30th January 2017, three interns were awarded certificates upon successfully completing the programme that IAPRI offers bi-annually. Speaking during the presentation of certificates, IAPRI’s Executive Director Mr. Chance Kabaghe, said that he was confident that the candidates were fully equipped with a full understanding of agriculture policy and was confident that the trio will positively contribute to the development of the sector and Zambia’s wider economy.

And speaking on behalf of the interns, Mr. Kabaso Mulenga said that the programme was enriching and thanked IAPRI management for awarding the trio the rare opportunity to practically work and learn in this unique field. He also said that they were ready to contribute to the sector and start their careers. He further said that they will definitely utilise and fully apply the skills they had acquired.
