Mr. Daniel Daka

Mr. Daniel Daka is Acting Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Environment Statistics Division of the Central Statistical Office. He holds a BSc in Mathematics (with Education) as well as an MA in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia. Prior to joining the Central Statistical office in March 1994, he worked as a Mathematics teacher in the Ministry of Education, from 1992 March.

Among his many accomplishments, some of them are as follows:

  • 2006 - Worked as a consultant for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (F.A.O), where he was National coordinator for the baseline survey on Improving Livelihoods of HIV/ AIDS affected rural households.
  • 2002 - Worked as a consultant for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation where he was the Regional Data Management and analysis Team Leader  for baseline surveys conducted in Uganda, Zambia and Namibia to assess the impact of HIV/ AIDS on household food security.
  • 2000 - Wrote the Zambia 2000 Census of Population and Housing Agriculture analytical report.
